During his 25 years of consulting to clients on retirement plans, he has witnessed companies switch from a pension orientation to a 401k plan style retirement. He realized that this transition suddenly placed a tremendous responsibility upon individuals to manage their retirement finances under many uncertainties. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and received his BS in Math at Notre Dame, MA in Actuarial Science at Ball State and PhD in Business at Oklahoma State. He is also an avid cyclist and his wife and four children nervously watch him compete (kind of) in criterium races..
Lisa is a Certified Public Accountant and Founder at Votaire. She has 15+ years' experience in finance and accounting, including 5+ years as CFO of a nationwide retirement and health services firm. Her extensive experience in the retirement benefits industry influenced her desire to create solutions for retirees and near-retirees facing uncertainty. She holds a Bachelors in Finance from Indiana University, M.B.A. in Operations Management from Ball State University and a Risk Management Certification.
With over 20 years in the information technology field, including 13 in the retirement space, Chad is passionate about building retirement software products that help people address their most pressing needs. As the Director of Technology, he oversees development of the back-end technology infrastructure and front-end product components needed to make Votaire run efficiently. Chad graduated with a Bachelors in Computer Science from Ball State University and when he's not in front of his computer you'll probably find him with his family or on his endless quest to find the loudest firework for his next July 4th display.
Conor believes that a well-designed financial planning platform will lead to better retirement outcomes. As the Director of Product, he oversees the development of the entire Votaire platform. This involves coordinating Votaire's financial and actuarial groups with the development team and communicating with financial advisors, individuals and employers to ensure an optimized user experience. Conor is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland and Notre Dame Law School. He did his growing up in New England and in his free time enjoys returning there and traveling out West.
Steven is a Senior Developer with close to 30 years of experience, including significant time in the retirement space. His career has been built around taking information that can seem overwhelming and presenting it in a way that's both concise and empowering. He is now applying that insight and his expertise to help retirees and near-retirees get a handle on their finances. He graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with majors in Computer Science and Mathematics. When he can get away from a computer keyboard, he likes to take road trips and advance his quest to visit every U.S. County.
Stephan wants to make retirement planning an exciting experience through intuitive user interface design. As a Senior Web Developer, he's bringing his experience in design and his skill in front-end web development to help realize the vision of Votaire. Stephan is a graduate of Harding University and worked in television as a Graphic Designer before making the switch to full-time web development. His perfect Saturday would include a coffee at any number of local shops, a hike with his wife, and a project that gives him an excuse to use his power tools.
Brandon hopes to help bring simple but powerful financial planning tools to the masses. He graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor's in Actuarial Science and a Master's in Computer Science, and has been working in various corners of the insurance and engineering industries since 2012. As a developer for Votaire, he applies this mixed technical background to help make Votaire the best financial wellness platform on the market. When he's away from the computer, Brandon enjoys reading, making a home-cooked meal and playing the violin.
Ross hopes to put the power of holistic retirement guidance at the fingertips of as many Baby Boomers as possible. As a Financial Analyst for Votaire, he is focused on developing financial and healthcare models and incorporating them in Votaire's proprietary algorithms. Prior to his role at Votaire, Ross was an actuarial analyst focused on healthcare at Milliman, an international actuarial consulting firm. He has a Bachelors in Financial Mathematics from Wabash College where he competed for four years on the varsity baseball team. An avid baseball fan, Ross hopes to eventually attend a game at every professional stadium.
Sam is an actuarial analyst who enjoys helping individuals understand the confusing puzzle of retirement. Before joining the Votaire team to build and refine our proprietary algorithms, he worked in healthcare actuarial consulting, where he helped employers understand the costs of their health plans. He graduated from Ball State University with a major in Actuarial Science and minors in Computer Science and Business. As a Chrysler buff, it’s not about getting from Point A to Point B for Sam; it’s all about how you get there.
